State budget priorities for FY22

Governor Charlie Baker proposed a budget for FY22 that makes substantial investments in job training, re-skilling, and youth jobs. However it cuts funding for several important programs including YouthWorks, Adult Basic Education/ESOL, Learn to Earn and the MassHire Career Centers

Here is a list of Workforce Solutions Group FY22 recommendations

  • Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund $10 M
  • Learn to Earn $1 M
  • Career Technical Institutes $10 M
  • YouthWorks $23 M
  • School to Career Connecting Activities $6.4 M
  • Mass Hire Career Centers $10 M
Please reach out to your state representative today to let them know you support these initiatives and how they will help your community.
